How Cross River State Government Spent Money in 2021
Although Cross River State Government voted to spend N240.4bn in the 2021 fiscal year, the State ended up spending only 36.5% of what it voted; N87.7bn.
Curiously, the largest bulk of the money spent last year went on recurrent items; 62.5 percent! Due to the huge debt burden of Cross River State, 11.6 percent of the total money spent for the year went into servicing debt. Overhead had the same percent of funds spent while Capital projects were left with only 37.5 percent which is N32.86bn of the money spent in 2021.
